Baghere Long Woollen Cape
I know it is an odd time to add an 100% wool long, wool cape to a catalogue, but that is just what Little Fashion Gallery has done. I love the Anita cape from Baghere though. It's so pretty and old-fashioned. 146.32€

Stella McCartney For Gap Spring
The Stella McCartney collection for Spring 10 is available now. I'm not too excited, but I think that has something to do with the fact that a lot of the pieces aren't practical for somewhere with 100 degree plus temperatures.
Apple Romper, $58.
Lily Eyelet Dress, $58
Eyelet Baby Dress, $58
Packable Anorak, $48

J. Crew Soleil Tunic
I am considering whether or not to keep the J. Crew Soleil Tunic. The thing they didn't mention in the description is how sheer it is. I'm not known for my modesty, but even I am questioning if I can get away with wearing it. The silk of my grandmother's "I love Jesus" scarf is of higher quality. For what I paid, $88 (or $108 with shipping and handling), they could have used a slightly thicker silk. It just feels cheap.
The only reason I am considering keeping it is how good it looks on me. The colors go perfectly with my complexion. And since I'm short it is the perfect length to wear as a dress. At almost knee length it is not too long or short.
If I didn't feel so beautiful in it the tunic would already be on the way back to J. Crew. Maybe that feeling is worth overpaying. But it is still a lot to pay for a flimsy silk dress that was made in China.

Clothes For Skinny Kids
It is relatively easy to find clothes for "husky" kids (Probably due to the fact that kids are getting heavier right along with the rest of the American population.), but really hard to find pants that will fit a skinny kid. My youngest son is Rachel Zoe skinny and pants either fit in the waist and are to short, or they are long enough and he's swimming in them. My go to source for pants that actually fit him is the Gap. He practically lives in the Flat Front Khakis. And he can actually wear a size 10 instead of a 7 is so short that he looks like he is waiting for a flood.
And if your boy is Husky, Gap has you covered too. In fact, it's the exact same link. Prices start at $19.50.

Nicole Richie Maternity Sale
Yesterday when I wrote about Heidi Klum designing for A Pea In The Pod I mentioned that Nicole Richie had designed an earlier collection for the company. Well, the pieces are still available and are on sale. Even better news, the collection is now priced as low as $18.99 and nothing is priced more $79.99.

Heidi Klum To Design Maternity
A Pea In The Pod has teamed up with Heidi Klum for another designer maternity line. Klum, supermodel and Project Runway host, will be designing for the company's main line and the more affordable Motherhood Maternity. Lavish is a 15 piece collection for A Pea In The Pod.
"I chose to call my collection for A Pea in the Pod Lavish because there is no grander name to express everything you want to give yourself and the child growing within you," Klum said of Lavish. We all know that it because the pieces will costs more. The dress above will cost $128. The Loved collection has 14 pieces and will be priced for a more mass market.
Both collections will be available in stores and online February 12. I just hope that it is a better collection than the Nicole Ritchie collection. Those pieces looked like Nicole Ritchie would never wear them.

Jcrew Fenton-Fallon Necklace
Remember that lovely bow bracelet I wrote about the other day, well JCrew has a very similar necklace by Fenton-Fallon. And it only costs $295, so I don't understand why the less amazing bracelet is $198. But the necklace is so pretty. Too bad it too big for my petite frame. So I will continue to wait for the bracelet to go on sale.

Gisele Bundchen
Does anyone know where Gisele Bundchen bought this dress. I doubt that it is maternity, and is perfect for the Spring like weather where I live.
Stella For Gap
The Stella McCartney collection for the Gap has finally been released. The collection is lovely in a rather boho kind of way. Usually the boys' collection seem to be an after thought, but I actually am going to buy a few of these pieces. Here are a few of my favorite pieces:
Packable Anorak. I have been looking for a simple raincoat for the baby. And this one, while not as traditional I would like, may be what I'm looking for. $48.
Superhero Graphic Tee. $28
Band Jacket. The jacket is supposed to be unisex, but I doubt most little boys in the suburbs can pull it off. $128.
Silk Drop-Waist Dress. This may be the party dress of the holiday season. $58.
Trench Coat. It's never too early to teach a girl the style and charm of a simple trench coat. $78.

Stella McCartney For Gap Kids
Stella McCartney's 70 piece collection for Gap Kids will be released next week. And I am so excited! I have been on the hunt for a simple yellow raincoat, and there is one in the collection. Stella is a mother of three and knows that kids don't like clothes that are not practical or scratchy. And the clothes will range in price from $14 to $128 for a jacket.
“I think [Gap] makes a great product for the price point, and I think that it’s really important for kids to deliver really high quality and have it accessible to people,” said McCartney. “I felt that I could get the right quality of product with them.”
The collection will be launched at "select" stores around the world. I really hope that the pieces will be online too, because many of us live in the middle of nowhere and still love fashion.

Boys Raincoats
It's finally raining here in Northern California (And the way the way wind is blowing I am expecting more trees in my neighborhood to fall.). So I dug my son's raincoat out of the back of the closet, only to find that this is the last season he probably will be able to wear it. I've gotten my money's worth, I bought it for my oldest over a dozen years ago...for less than $15. So now I've started looking for a new raincoat. I want something traditional and yellow, not so easy to find these days. Here is what I've come up with:
Petit Bateau Yellow Raincoat, £50.
The price seems very expensive, but if I get a size 12 he should be able to wear it for at least three or four years. He's barely growing.
Elka Rain Set, £28.
Pants and a jacket, for half the price.
Rain Set, £29.50.
The biggest size is an 8, so he would only be able to wear it for a season or two.
All the prices are in British Pounds because I couldn't find what I wanted here. But all three items are available for international shipping.

The Fall collection for Bonpoint is available to purchase online. But still no shoes.

Michelle Obama was seen shopping at Bonpoint during the family's trip to Paris.

Celestine Silk and Velvet Mouse Ears

I think these little mouse ears by Le Tour De Force are kind of cute, but they have to be kidding to charge €54.35 (about $76).
