SexyBack

I know that Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds album was released such a long time ago, but it still intrigues me. Under the direction of Doug Lloyd, Riley Hooker and Martin Sandberg really brought "SexyBack" with the design of Justin's CD packaging and tour book. The use of space, choice of colors, type selection (Engravers MT is one of my favorites) is just brilliant.

Tokyomilk

While I was doing some shopping at Anthropologie, I couldn't help but notice Tokyomilk's packaging. The combination of that kind of old style illustration with traditional and modern type is so pleasing and attractive.

Cheers to Duffy

Duffy & Partners (my design heroes), sends a bottle of wine of to their clients with a unique design each Christmas. Way before I even started my blog, I had saved these images a while back as design inspiration from their company blog. I have always wanted to share them, and thought it would be appropriate since it's Christmas. I absolutely love it when designers share their creative process, and give you a glimpse of how they reached a solution. Thank you Duffy & Partners for your endless inspiration!

Sketches and notes Duffy & Partners used to visualize and explore various concepts.

The final product, a beautiful and successful translation of their concept!

Topshop Cosmetics

Hand-rendered type and illustration with the combination of grey and gold is what makes this so fun and festive.

Alice Chocolate

I enjoy swiss chocolate, but these are just too pretty to eat! I like how Alice Chocolates are individually wrapped and are packed like gum, making it easier to transport in your bag and satisfy those chocolate cravings.

Galliano-goodies

Fashion designer and Dior Creative Director John Galliano has collaborated with patisserie Lauduree on a delectable ginger and rose flavored macaroon inspired by his latest fragrance "Parlez Moi d' amour". It visually translates to the macaroon packaging, which is by the way, wrapped in stationary and signed by John Galliano himself. Sweet.

Carbonated Thanksgiving

Remember this Jones Soda Co holiday pack from 2004?
Mmmm..Turkey flavored soda with all the fixins'! None of these flavors sound at all appealing except for the cranberry. How fun are the Jones Soda Co labels? Did you know that you can actually post your photo in their photo gallery, and if they like it, they may feature your picture on one of their labels? Also, you can custom create your own Jones Soda pack.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good day to you

The identity and packaging of the new men's skin care line, Good Day, was designed by Carefully Considered, the Tribeca-based studio of Matthew Schneider. Type was used as an identifier, making it easier to find the right product for your skin type. The design is crisp and clean, it's simplicity at it's best.

Thirsty for Issey Miyake

A big hello to you all! Believe it or not, I created this blog account about a year ago, but never got to posting on a regular basis. However, I am happy to say that I will revive this blog of mine!

Let's start things off with something fun and fresh, such as Evian's collaboration with fashion designer Issey Miyake.

The design is very whimsical yet modern, reminiscent of his Fall 2010
Ready-to-wear collection.

The unique shapes and bright colors add great visual interest.
It's interesting to see how one would interpret their fashion brand onto a bottle. I would really like to see a Michael Kors Evian bottle. Can you imagine?!?
